Clinical interests: I see clients across development (infants/toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults). I provide assessment, individual psychotherapy, parent-child relational therapy, and parent consultation support. Common primary presenting issues are: anxiety, depression, adjustment, attachment, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, OCD, dealing with divorce, and complex relationship issues. My underlying theoretical orientation is from an attachment perspective and I integrate contemporary object relations and emotion focused approaches. I draw from cognitive behavioural, solution focused, and client-centred approaches depending on client issues and needs.

Clinical mentor: Available

Research interests: Not currently involved in research. Historical interests have surrounded clinical applications of attachment theory across the lifespan.

Available to supervise: Yes

Constraints: Only available from February/March-August 2024. In-person and virtual.

For a more junior student, options could include working alongside me as a co-therapist for parent consultations, including potential individual child therapy experience. There would be some requirements for theoretical training in child mental health and psychotherapy in order to provide direct clinical services.

I could also supervise a student interested in intervention with older adolescents/ adults, assuming that there were appropriate clients available.
