Trainees must be open to working within an inpatient medical environment with children who may be acutely ill and undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy. They will be required to complete required LHSC orientation and training, and follow relevant policies for work in these areas.
Potential trainees are encouraged to request a more detailed discussion of aspects of illness, treatment and the medical environment that they may encounter, to assist in clarifying goals and opportunities, and scheduling considerations.
