The Effect of Musical Training on Auditory Perception

You are invited to participate in a screening for a study on musical training, conducted by the Cognitive Neuroscience of Communication and Hearing Lab led by Dr. Ingrid S. Johnsrude at the University of Western Ontario. We are seeking a wide range of participants, from the musically impaired to expert musicians, so all ranges of musical ability are welcome to participate.

The screening is a short online procedure, where you will fill out a few questions about yourself and complete a listening task. The entire screening will take approximately 20 minutes of your time. By participating in our online screening, you are eligible to partake in a drawing to receive a $50 Amazon gift card. You can also participate in future lab-based studies.

To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: between 18-80 years
  • No history of hearing difficulty or neurological problems

If you are interested in participating, please complete our screening procedure by clicking on the following link: http://www.soundbrainscience.com/uwo
