Clinical interests: I provide assessment and treatment services for the Pain Management Program and the Rheumatology Department at St. Joseph's Health Care London. My theoretical orientation is CBT, and the majority of my work is running interprofessional pain management groups, and depression treatment groups for individuals struggling with depression secondary to their chronic health condition. Interventions include disease and/or pain education, cognitive therapy, stress management, EMG biofeedback, assertive communication, and relapse prevention. Additional services include urgent clinic consultations/assessments to address psychosocial barriers to medical treatment, and short-term individual therapy when group therapy is contraindicated (very limited).
