Samantha Joel is an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at Western University. She obtained her PhD from the University of Toronto in 2015, and completed a SSHRC postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Texas in Austin in 2016. She is interested in the measurement tools that are used to study close relationships, and how those tools can be improved upon to produce more robust and valid findings in relationship science. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and travelling.
