Course Description
Faculty and students in Cognitive, Developmental, and Brain Sciences and related areas meet every week for one hour (occasionally up to one and a half hours) to report on ongoing research. Some didactic topics are also covered.
Thursdays, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM, WIRB 1170.

Methods of Evaluation
Following a general introduction to the course, each of the scheduled sessions will typically include two student presentations. Students will discuss their ongoing thesis research or provide a proposal for their planned thesis research in these presentations. Presentations are scheduled to be 20 min in length, with an additional 10 min for discussion. Presentations are expected to be accompanied by PowerPoint visualization.
Regular course attendance is mandatory. All students registered in the CDBS area are required to give one presentation each academic year. Students are expected to ask questions and participate in the course discussion. Students who miss 3 classes or more over the course of the academic year will be required to complete an additional written assignment for successful completion (i.e., a Pass grade) of this course
All faculty members and students who are present in class will provide anonymous written feedback on student presentations.
Course grades will be Pass/Fail based on presentations and regular attendance as well as participation in discussion.
