New Considerations of Context in the Development of Mechanisms of Self-regulation

Although the parenting context remains paramount as a context for development, I will present work from my lab in which we have tried to rethink what constitutes context in the course of development. Specifically, we consider the role of multiple contexts in the development of neural mechanisms of self-regulation during sensitive periods of development, including early childhood and pregnancy.
